Our History
LACOMS was established with the vision of setting standards for the training of healthcare professionals. Our mission is to deliver transformative courses that lead to the awards of National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) certificates in Paramedic Technology (Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine), as well as other vital medical fields. We aim to inspire growth and excellence across the healthcare landscape, with plans to incrementally introduce more medical courses such as nursing sciences among others. Diversity and inclusivity are integral to our college’s ethos. We celebrate the richness of our multicultural heritage.
THE COLLEGE OBJECTIVES
LACOMS was established to provide standards for healthcare professional training delivery base on, to;
Provide course of instruction leading to award of OND, Professional Diploma and HND certificates in Paramedic Science and other healthcare professionals such as Medical Laboratory technician, Pharmacy Technician, Community Health Extension Workers and subsequently, biomedical engineering, among others healthcare professional courses to be added incrementally.
Provide special professional training and re- training in course in medical and health science for such person as may be prescribed taking into consideration at all times the requirements of both the state and federal ministry of health as well as acceptability in world of medical practice.
Conduct research with particular reference to the development of the techniques for enhancing the quality of health care and management in the nation.
Provide a standardization for good efficiency of clinical knowledge for professional excellency.
Arrange conference, seminars, workshops, webinars, tours and like activities in emergency and healthcare delivery in Lagos State and across Nigeria as well as telemedicine for international learning exposure.
Provide well qualified and competent middle and professional level of emergency care providers and other healthcare professionals and manpower in accordance with the policies of the state and federal ministry of health and education that will facilitate emergency and general health care for state and federal hospital board services at all levels.
