PARAMEDIC SCIENCE

Program Description

Our 3-years Hybrid Paramedic Science Diploma program combines virtual lectures, proctored supervision of clinical postings, and on-campus simulations to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to become a registered paramedic locally and internationally level of operations.

Upon completion of this program, graduates will be able to:

Demonstrate effective communication, medical ethics, and professional behavior in emergency care contexts.

Apply knowledge of Emergency Medical Service (EMS) systems in Nigeria and abroad.

Operate medical and rescue equipment, and render emergency care within the Paramedic scope of practice.

Perform clinical assessments, diagnostics, and interventions within the Paramedic scope of practice.

1. Virtual lectures and assignments with classmates interactions

Year 1: Non-clinical students (first and second semester, virtual lecture-based only and 2-6 weeks on-campus simulation practicals as well as examinations)

Year 2 & 3: Clinical Students (10 weeks virtual lectures, 48-hours per week clinical postings rotations at respective students' location and 4-6 weeks on-campus simulation practicals as well as assessments and examinations)


3 years (6 semesters)

Candidates must present NECO/WAEC/GCE/NABTEB results demonstrating five credits in: Mathematics, English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics obtained in no more than two sittings. Other science subjects related to the program may also be considered.
