It's to prepare competent advanced-level healthcare providers in the cognitive, psychomotor and affective learning domains
LACOMS was established to provide standards for healthcare professionals' base on, to;
Provide course of instruction leading to award of OND, Professional Diploma and HND certificates in healthcare and other allied medical courses such as paramedic Science, Nursing Science Etc. as well as short term professional courses such as caregiver, first responder training, cancel care tranning among others
Provide special professional training and re- training in course in medical and health science for such person as may be prescribed taking into consideration at all times the requirements of both the state and federal ministry of health as well as acceptability in world of medical practice.
Conduct research with particular reference to the development of the techniques for enhancing the quality of health care and management in the nation.
Provide a standardization for good efficiency of clinical knowledge for professional excellency.
Arrange conference, seminars, workshops, webinars, tours and outreaches in healthcare delivery in Lagos State and across Nigeria as well as telemedicine for international learning exposure.
Provide well qualified and competent middle and professional level of emergency care providers and other healthcare professionals and manpower in accordance with the policies of the state and federal ministry of health and education that will facilitate emergency and general healthcare for state and federal hospital board services at all levels.
